Designing the silk scarves for the Miss Supranational 2026 Gala was a unique creative journey and a perfect example of how design can become an integral part of a theatrical production. The project was developed in close collaboration with the show’s artistic director, choreographer, and fashion stylist, ensuring that every visual element formed one cohesive story that truly reflected the client’s needs from the very beginning.
Folklore ...
The starting point was Polish folklore, reinterpreted through a new contemporary lens. Geometric folk ornaments were combined with expressive floral compositions, creating a striking dialogue between tradition and modern design.
One of the featured motifs is the traditional “sercówka” ornament from the Lachy Sądeckie region. Patterns of the Lachy Sądeckie, a publication by the Sądecka Land Museum, inspired its contemporary interpretation.
The second design draws inspiration from northern Poland, combining Kashubian embroidery with the sea holly (Eryngium maritimum). This distinctive coastal plant has become an emblem of the Polish Baltic shoreline.
The collection demonstrates how local heritage can naturally become part of an international stage. Traditional motifs have been reimagined in a modern visual language while preserving their authenticity, telling the story of Polish culture with elegance, subtlety and timeless appeal.
