MOMME STUDIO was founded in Singapore. What inspired you to create the brand?
As a family, we had the opportunity to relocate to Singapore, and we embraced it as a chance to change our perspective and see the world from a different angle. It was there that I founded the brand, inspired by the proximity of China, the long tradition of silk craftsmanship and the originality of a culture that immediately fascinated me.
Singapore became a space of courage for me. It was where the first silk scarf collections were created, developed in collaboration with artists. From the beginning, authenticity mattered deeply to me. I wanted to create something that tells a story, carries meaning and has a clear identity.
Silk became your natural choice. Why this particular fabric?
Silk drapes naturally and moves with elegance. It is one of the strongest natural fibres, both physically and symbolically, and it carries a timeless quality that very few materials possess. The feeling of it against the skin is pure pleasure.
It does not need to shout. I have never felt the need for excess. When the quality is right, the material speaks for itself. Every design has to be carefully considered, both in terms of composition and craftsmanship. Silk demands attention and respect, and that aligns perfectly with the way I work.
Your first collections were created in collaboration with artists. What does such a partnership bring to a project?
Working with artists opens an entirely different dimension of design. Each collection becomes a vehicle for a story, a vision and the individual language of its creator.
From the very beginning, MOMME STUDIO was never meant to be just a product brand. In a world flooded with repetitive, mass-produced patterns, I wanted to return to a more artistic approach to creation.
Today the brand is developing in Europe and focusing on personalised corporate gifts. How did this direction emerge?
It was a natural evolution. I began to notice that many companies are looking for something beyond standard promotional gifts. Personalised silk designs allow brands to express their identity in a subtle and elegant way.

What distinguishes a luxury personalised gift from a traditional corporate gift?
First and foremost, the intention behind it. At MOMME STUDIO every project is created individually. I do not work with a catalogue of ready-made designs for companies. Instead, it is a process that begins with understanding the brand, its story, its aesthetics and the context of the event. Only then does the design begin to take shape.
Luxury is not defined by price alone. It lies in quality, refinement and uniqueness.
What does the process of creating a design for a brand or an event look like?
Everything begins with a conversation. I want to understand the context. Is it a gift for partners, a company anniversary, an event, or perhaps an element of visual identity?
From there we create mood boards, initial sketches and discuss the graphics, colours and proportions. At the same time we think about packaging, because presentation is part of the experience. The project develops gradually. Only then do we move into production. The final piece is always the result of collaboration rather than a purely technical execution.
In your work you emphasise the importance of detail. Why is it so crucial?
Because everything matters. The composition, the colours, the finishing touches and the packaging all play a role. Especially today, attention to detail is what truly separates a brand from mass production.
For me, luxury lies precisely in that attentiveness.
What values define MOMME STUDIO today?
Authenticity, quality and meaning. I am not interested in producing simply for the sake of production. I create for people who value the artist’s hand, conscious choices and an aesthetic that does not blindly follow trends.
Has working between cultures, Asia and Europe, influenced the way you run the brand?
Absolutely. Singapore taught me courage. Everything there moves quickly and dynamically, in an environment shaped by many cultures and aesthetics. It was also where I learned to think globally and to design in a way that allows a story to travel across borders.
Today Europe is where I am developing the brand within a more mature business environment. This combination of experiences strongly shapes how I think about design and how I build relationships with clients.
How do you see the future of MOMME STUDIO?
I want to continue developing personalised products for brands that are looking for quality and a distinctive aesthetic. I am particularly interested in collaborations where the product becomes part of a brand’s visual language and image strategy rather than simply an accessory.
